Seematz-zoeklichten zijn verkrijgbaar in drie soorten licht, LED, halogeen en xenon. Halogeenlampen bieden een concurrerend prijsniveau in combinatie met veel licht en een vrij brede lichtbundel, geschikt voor nauwe operaties, inclusief man overboord situaties. Xenon wordt aanbevolen als een grote hoeveelheid licht, een smalle hoek of een groot bereik nodig is. Xenon levert ook een heldere kleur, inclusief een groot deel van het blauwe spectrum, waardoor het het meest geschikt is voor arctische omgevingen.<\/p>\n

LED wordt vaak gekozen vanwege de lange levensduur en de lage eigendomskosten (minimaal onderhoud). De nieuwste versies van LED-zoeklichten bieden ook verschillende nieuwe voordelen: een breedstralend LED-zoeklicht is nog meer geschikt voor nauwe operaties dan halogeen, terwijl een 463 led-dimlicht geschikt is voor gebruik aan boord van FiFi-schepen.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Seematz zoeklichten worden veel gekozen door reders die extreme betrouwbaarheid en robuustheid van hun zoeklicht eisen.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

De zoeklichten zijn gemaakt van zeewaterbestendig aluminium en hebben extra geharde BI-VETRAL veiligheidsfrontruiten. De reflectoren zijn gemaakt van aluminium (glas is als optie verkrijgbaar). Ook de elektrische installatie van de zoeklichten is zorgvuldig ontworpen om betrouwbaar te blijven onder de zwaarste omstandigheden. 400W verwarming is optioneel op 230VAC aangedreven zoeklichten, wat handig is voor gebruik in zeer koude omgevingen.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

De achterkant van de zoeklichten kan worden geopend met quick-release spanners (geen gereedschap nodig). Ook zijn de kabelwartels daar gemonteerd. Zo kan de gehele plug-in unit gemakkelijk verwijderd worden, incl. de spiegel, lamp, stopcontact en verwarming. Ook wordt hierdoor het vervangen van lampen erg gemakkelijker gemaakt.
\nOp het dek gemonteerde versies zijn de meest eenvoudige en kosteneffectieve uitvoering van elk zoeklicht, veeleisende directe bediening achter het zoeklicht. Stuurhuisversies, die handmatige bediening op het dek toestaan, bieden een relatief goedkoop alternatief voor elektrisch bediende zoeklichten. Hun constructie is volledig waterdicht en eenvoudig te installeren, zelfs in daken met dikke isolatie. Sommige eigenaren geven zelfs de voorkeur aan de nauwkeurige en snelle bediening die een traditioneel zoeklicht voor een stuurhuis biedt.<\/p>\n

Op afstand bestuurde versies (EF-type) zijn ontworpen om vanuit de stuurhut te worden bediend en zijn de industriestandaard geworden.<\/p>\n

The EF type searchlight heads are operated from an operation panel, connected to a power supply. EF searchlights<\/a> can optionally be equipped with focus, zero-position switch and digital position indication. EF searchlights can also be executed as a Tower type, which is especially practical in case a xenon type searchlight (XBO) is installed. In that case, the ballast unit is positioned within the tower.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
